Spackle/sheetrock dust drying out your hair....
I'm sure this will sound like a silly tip but over the past year of spackling and sheetrocking here its saved my hair from breaking off all over the place.
cover hair with plastic (reuse one of those grocery bags you got still stuffed somewhere) and tie it up good, then cover completely and tie down with bandanas.
If you ever have to sand down spackle the dust gets everywhere. It will land on your and it SUCKS the life out of it. A couple of days of this and your hair will start breaking off. It takes three coats/days to spackle well and if you don't do it for a living you will be sanding.
Hubby was laughing at me this morning as I got my "supplies" ready to go for tonight.

We've been doing a ton of work at the apartments, and the walls have some kind of stucco material on them. The other day, to cut thru the walls, I used a grinder. Talk about DUST - BLECH. When I got home and tried to shower, when the water first hit my hair, my hair went solid as a rock - no joke, it felt like stone!
I'll be so glad when we're done with these units and can get them rented. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
