cleaning george forman !

Tonight I forgot to put the tray under the grill . grease had drained grease on the counter top.
I used pieces of new`s paper to clean it up.
then I used new`s paper to claen the george forman before I wash it. I save a lot of paper towel by doing this.

Is it safe to clean the grill with newspapers? Just thinking of the inks being rubbed onto the cooking surface, is there transfer from that?

yes there was some on the counter but wiped right up with wet rag.

I figure it was,but it is kinda rough. may have to think about it on the grill.
I use it to get the grease out of anyhing and just was it. I was useing a lot of paper towel. and I don`t now.
