    Default Does anyone...

save leftover coffee from one day and reheat the next day? I always have half pot extra and just dump it.

I know I save some coffee for a certain cake I make, but wonder what anyone else saves it for if you do?

Sometimes I make ice cubes with it for iced coffee. Usually we don't have any left in the pot.

I cannot stand re-warmed coffee. I'm waaaay to picky about my coffee, in a stuck up sort of way!! I also rarely have any left over, as I drink it all! However, if I do, I will either dump it like you, or freeze it in ice cubes trays and then put the frozen cubes in the blender with some milk and honey or sugar or maybe chocolate sauce and make a frappacino-y type blended iced coffee drink... it's really yummy!!

the only time i do that, is in the winter. if there is any left over to save. during the summer months, i don't just for fear of it being left out. i am too lazy to put it in something and put it in the fridge. lol

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Yes. I'm the only one who drinks it, so I always have leftovers. I only drink 1 cup per day, and I really should try to make less in the first place

After I make my coffee, I put it in a thermal carafe and if there's any left at the end of the day, I put it in a container in the fridge for iced coffee. Most of the time though, there's none left. I would definetly not leave it on the burner element and then use it later that day or the next since you never know what may have gotten into that carafe during the day...ewww.

We're all on different schedules here so what I did was buy a few of the plastic single drip filter thingys that you brew into your cup and we each make ourselves one cup when we want it. We love coffee here but dh works 24 hour shifts and dd gets up later than the rest of us and I despise rewarmed coffee. I don't even like it after it has been on the burner for more than 20 minutes. I got tired of throwing out all the old coffee. This way we each get fresh coffee whenever we want it with no waste.

    Same here.

I also do not like re-heated coffee, so iced coffee is about the only way it gets used up.

We don't usually have leftover coffee, but occasionally dh will forget his mug at home as he walks out the door. I might try the coffee ice cubes, though.

In a very unfrugalish fashion I dump it out when I make the next pot.

On the mornings that DH is home, we go through the whole pot. If I'm home alone I only drink one cup. I usually make half a pot and I'll either have another cup in the afternoon or I'll nuke it the next day. We have one of those thermal carafe coffee makers, so having it sit out is not a big deal.

We reheat it. We call it Crappucino.

Yup, but I'm letting up on the coffee drinking just a tad b/c I'm getting too many calories from the milk I add (just not tough enough to drink it black.....sigh).

I don't mind heating up coffee later in the day from that morning, but have never saved it overnight.

I do, however, take the filter with yesterday's grounds and add one more scoop for today, to get an *almost* free pot of coffee. (I only make 4 cups a day, though.) I will toss it tomorrow and start fresh. This cuts my coffee cost almost in half. Which is good, because I don't like cheap coffee.
