Ok DS burned popcorn in my microwave a few weeks ago and I can not get rid of the smell. I tried boiling vinegar water in there but no luck. Its all yellow/brown too. Any help is appreciated. I cann't afford a new micro and really need one. TIA

Try either leaving baking soda or vanilla in there for a day or so, wipe it down, maybe leave the door open to air out?

When Lauren burned a toaster pastry in the microwave, I tried the tips above, but they didn't seem to help. The smell went away slowly over time.
I hope the tips above will get rid of it for you, or at least lessen the burned smell's potency.

Try putting a bowl of vanilla extract and water more extract than water turn microwave on for 2 minutes then leave door shut over night. Next morning open it up and it should smell wonderful. My kids burn popcorn all the time!

I cut a bunch of lemons and cooked them in there (the last time I burned the popcorn)
worked like a charm.

I think I'd put a tray of cat litter ( the clay kind, not the clumping kind ) in there for a day or so - but before I did, I'd make a watery paste out of baking soda and water and wipe down the inside of the microwave with it then wipe it clean.
Good luck...

Wad up a bunch of newspaper and fill up your microwave. You want the newspaper to touch the surfaces, and you don't have to pack it tightly or anything. Leave it in overnight, then repeat if necessary. We've used this method with stinky coolers and a used freezer that had a terrible fish odor. It works every time.
