On our old stove I actually took them off and put them outside and sprayed the heck out of them with easy off and them set out there awhile. It seemed to work pretty good but I had to do that several times to get it all off. I only tried this after many failed attempts at cleaning them or just ignoring them for a long time.

You could also just do what I did before I tried cleaning them when I was ignoring them and their ugliness. Cover them with aluminum foil. There now! All nice and shiny!

After I did finally get them cleaned I covered them with foil again just so I wouldn't have to go through all of that again. When they got grungy and icky looking, I just ripped off the foil and replaced it.

I've had pretty good luck with baking soda - cover the baked on crud with a paste of baking soda and water, let it sit overnight, keep it moist (spray water on it if needed). Most of it will scrub right off, but I've never been able to get all of it.

We actually just bought new ones a few months ago, because I was sick of the crud!

    Aluminum foil

I'm not that brilliant really to know this, I only know the answer because an aluminum plant near me is called Alcoa. So I hope that's right or I will look like a brilliant idiot lol .

take drip pans off the stove. Take them out side and put into a black garbage bag with 1 Cup of Amonia...tie shut and leave for 24 hours and wash them off...If not conpletely clean do it again and it should take off most of the gunk...May have to do some scrubbing but not much...

I like Dawn power scrubber spray. Spray, walk away and rinse 20 minutes later.

    Wink

I used to clean rentals for a living and the easy off on the drip pans worked the best for me. I leave it on for at least 30 min. and then use a soap pad to scrub it .. comes off pretty easily.
