I would say vinegar should help neutralize the odor and keeping your doors open to air out too. Then, you could make a spray bottle of water, vinegar and essential oil (lavender) and spray the interior.

sprinkle baking soda all over and let it sit overnight, then vacuum in the morning. and the vinegar should work too, just sit a bowl in the floor and let it absorb the odor...or a bowl of downy.

UGH..my first thought was buy a new car!! LOL..but since that isn't possible, spray the area with a solution of 3 teaspoons baking soda, 1 teaspoon dawn dish soap, 2 teaspoons lemon juice on the area...saturate well then blot dry...leave a few pieces of ordinary charcoal in a bowl in the car for a day or so to really absorb any leftover orders.

I can't offer any advice not already given. I just hope your child gets over it quickly. It's always hard on the parents (usually mom) when a child gets sick.

I was going to suggest the charcoal too. If you have old potato or onion bags (the mesh kind) use those. Grab two of them, put a handful of charcoal in each and stick them under your seats. Leave them for a week or so (the smell won't go away, but it'll be working), then after a week take the charcoal out, and the smell should be gone with the charcoal!

If the above suggestions don't work, I might give Nature's Miracle a try.

I was going to suggest Natures Miracle and a wet vacuum extractor.

Had a friend projectile vomit in my almost new car on the way home from the bar. Because I was too busy hosing my drunk friend down, the car sat overnight in 90 degree weather. The next morning was quite fun!

Not very frugal but I was desperate - rented a steam cleaner and steamed 3x. Let dry, sprinkle w/ baking soda & vacuum. Then sprinkled carpet cleaner & vacuumed to make it smell nice.

    Angie,

After you try the above suggestions......if you can afford it I would suggest taking the vehicle to a detail carwash place and having them steam clean the inside of your car.

Second the vote for Nature's Miracle.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
