Fixing a broken necklace
It was a easy as threading a needle.
Time involved: less than a min.
Cost: less than a penny.
Background story:
My 7 year old daughter thinks I can fix anything. In truth not everything. I didn't think I could fix the broken necklace the chain had split apart So I told her so. (crushed her heart) I did set the necklace aside to think on how/if it could be fixed.
How I fixed the necklace:
I used a piece of thread and threaded it though the two link where the necklace had broke. Much like threading a needle, in this case two needles. Then tied the thread in several knots. Viola, the necklace is fixed and you can tell the necklace was ever broken, unless you look very close then you can see the knot. I think using a gray or golden thread to match the necklace might be a good idea.
Bonus for me:
Daughter is so happy and I get to keep my "can fix anything" superhero/supermom status a little while longer.
