    Default Homemade Cookies Turning "Hard"

I made a batch of cookies last weekend and my dad mentioned a great tip to me. If your cookies start going a bit hard, put a heal of bread (or two) in with them and they will soften up.

I've actually tried this, and darn it all, it worked!

Yup, it works, so does a slice of fresh apple.

You can also zap them in the micro as you use them. Fresh and hot all over again, gotta love that!

This is also a way to keep your brown sugar soft.
I keep my brown sugar stored in a mason jar and just tear off a piece of bread and cram it into the top before I screw on the lid.
    Works like a charm.
