Mix equal parts, oxyclean, vinegar and baking soda (watch out for the bubbles) add 2 parts water. Pour onto ink stains, rub with a toothbrush, then toss back into the wash. You may have to do it twice, but it should come out with this mixture!

I constantly had -something- on my scrubs...

hairspray does help get the stain out in a pinch... spray it on,let it sit a while, you can even use the cool setting on the hair dryer... itshould be able to wipe off...

something you may want to look in to is Zout. it may be harder to find, but it really is awesome! When my uniform looks like I ran through a biological warzone, it took off everything.

Dab the ink spots with a clean cloth that has some rubbing alcohol on it. Dab and keep turning the cloth to a clean part to blot the ink out. It should work.

    Default Hydrogen Peroxide

I used to run a drycleaning shop, and honest to goodness, Hydrogen Peroxide will work on ink and blood. Most of the time, that is. Since it's been through the dryer, maybe not, but if you want to try it, just put some on a washrag and rub the spot gently. This may remove colors in some non-colorfast items, but since it's a white coat, it isn't too much of a worry. Most inks are protein based, and the peroxide works on the protein structure to break it up.

I use purell on ink stains. It's taken stains out of my dryer. I've also removed ink with it. Good luck

Ha - too funny! I'm not a nurse and I've done this several times. I have a bad habit of clipping my pens to my neckline of my shirt / dress.

What's worse is when it messes up everybody elses clothes in the dryer / washer as well.

Rubbing alchohol works on many surfaces, clothing included. I worked in a factory years ago that printed the labels on cassettes (yes I am old!). Anyway, we wiped off miss-prints with alchohol.
