Did You Know...
You can buy your own dental tools like an
hygienist uses to help keep your teeth clean.
Yup! Got a full set on ebay for $8 and they surely
do help along with flossing. Brand new. Sterilize
before using though.
AND...be careful, they are very sharp.
Another one: I don't have a swiffer so on my
kitchen laminate flooring I take a spray bottle
spray the floor with whatever cleaning solution
for the floor and use my regular mop. No bucket
and it's quick.
Do any of you have any money saving, time
saving, make it easier to do saving tips?
Please share. I love tips like those." May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. I do my kitchen floor the same way. It's quick and easy. I'm wanting to save up for a floor steam mop though. I've seen them on tv and would really like to have one.

I always buy the more expensive brand of ziploc bags since I like to wash & reuse mine. Look for the "extra heavy duty freezer" bags, they last 4 times as long as a regular ziploc bag.
For cleaning:
I went to Costco in the automotive department and bought a package of 25, 15 x 15 inch microfiber cloths.
I use these to clean up spots on the carpet, to clean the windows and then I use windex and a microfiber to dust the house with and of course you can use them for your auto, as well.
They last literally forever, because once they get dirty, just toss them into your laundry hamper, wash & reuse over & over & over.Michelle in middle Tennessee!
Ever so slowly rebuilding my stockpile...

Vinegar is great for removing lime or hardwater deposits and to clean the shower door. Don't leave it to set for longer than just a couple of minutes b/c it's acidic and can etch tile or glass..... but it works.

I have one tip If you want to clean your windows and glass, use vinegar. Mix some vinegar with water and wipe the glass with a cloth. In no time, you will have spotless windows and no smear marks

Thank you ladies. :cgiverose:
I'm saving these in a file on my computer.
Love the tips for quicker ways to do things.
Keep em' coming.
A quick way to clean your dryer vent:
If you use dryer sheets, take the used one
and it will remove all of the lint from your
dryer vent filter. Don't forget to keep it
clean so that your dryer will work properly.
I have a front loader washer now. So after
I have finished washing for that day I leave
the washer's door open so it will completely
dry the inside of the washer. I have read on
FV and other groups that over time the washer
could develop a moldy type smell and I'm
trying to avoid that. I also dry out the area
where the detergent and bleach go and leave
that open to.
Obsessive probably. I might have a touch of
OCD.
