To keep brocolli, cauliflower, cabbage, and lettuce longer...
just wrap them in a paper towel.

I have two cabbages in my fridge that I bought in November. Still perfectly green and healthy. Cabbage takes forever to start to go bad.
If your cut/bag lettuce is looking a bit drab place it in a bowl of ice water for about 5 minutes. This shocks it and brightens the color and makes it more crisp again.
If it is a bit brown add some salt or lemon juice to the water.
