HE Detergent in Regular Washer

I have a small trial packet of HE detergent. Can I use this in a regular washer? If so, how much should it be watered down in order to simulate it being regular detergent?

I'm not sure you would water it down. I have an he washing machine and I used 1/2 of regular soap because the full amount gets too sudsy. I don't know if this helps or not.

When we bought a washer machine the tech guy told us that the HE detergent was basically watered down regular detergent.

So I agree I don't think you would want to water down the HE detergent to use it in a regular washer.

I think you could use it though. It would be like you were using less regular detergent though.
