A Fleece Dog Bed
I had so many odd size pieces of different fleece left over from making various things for 6 grandchildren over the years that it bothered me not to have a functional use for them.
I found one today. A dog bed. The bed itself was made with large pieces that are no longer age appropriate for the kids. Everything else got cut into strips and stuffed into the sewn bed..
One happy lab is now lying at my feet on his ever so soft fleece bed.
I feel so warm and fuzzy inside because I had one more "kid" to sew for. I'm so pleased I could use what I had and turn it into something I needed. Being frugal just feels righteous.

great idea. My dogs love their dogie beds. All of mine were store bought but on sale. Hmm I can sew straight lines more or less. Have to keep that in mind. I also need new sofa pillows.

*off topic* But I read the post above & just had to pass on a cost-cutting suggestion I saw just this morning on TV (Good Morning America, perhaps, not 100% sure).
They showed a designer pillow which had the same pretty design on both sides. Instead of buying 2, they bought 1. They also bought a cheap basic pillow of a complementary single color, (also the same on both sides) and of the same size as the fancy one.
They opened up each with a seam ripper, swapped panels, re-sewed them and they ended up with a pair of pillows with the more expensive, showy side for the 'front' and the matching basic fabric 'back'
