I haven't bought anything there but it is a great way to make extra money and it cost a lot less to sell there than ebay.
I am not crafty or artistic in any way but you can sell vintage there as long as it's 20 years old. Also if you have any craft supplies that you're not using there is a great demand for them there.
A great way to clean out the closets and drawers and make a little money too.Best Wishes,
Sue

Have you done well there? I registered for a shop, but haven't used it yet. I talked to some friends who tried it and said that the market there is so saturated that they barely sold anything.
I love your shop there! You have some gorgeous things (and I love how you called yourself a vintage jewelry super hero...to cute)!

I have had pretty good luck there. I think how good you do depends on what you sell.
Also you need to promote your shop. one way is to participate in the forums. I really recommend it. We can all use a little extra spending money.

I've been thinking about it too. My family is in the watch & jewelry repair business. My two brothers do it now, we have been doing it for 97 years. We have lovely old vintage watches some worth a lot that have diamonds and rubies and also lots of old pocket watches dating back to 1901. I saw you sold a vintage gold heart braclet and we have the exact same one. What did you price it at?
My computer savy sister is thinking about setting up an account on ebay. Have you done ebay?
Love your jewelry. I love vintage pieces.

Never done Etsy but I have done Ebay. Sales are way down on Ebay. I think I'll look into Etsy a bit more. I have bought a few things from a friend on Etsy. She makes the cutest purses and bags.

I sell on Etsy and swear by it! I had my own website for a full year through Yahoo! and NEVER made back the money I spent to keep it up and running. I have sold at least 6x on Etsy in just a little over a year. Seriously, it's the best! It's great becuase it's world wide, and you can find pretyy much anything on there! I sell day planners, custom binders (household, family, frugal, recipe), baby gift bundles and so much more an have an extremely great selling rate!
My etsy shop name is: jigarcia

Mahalo for all the information. I have a lot of beads, semiprecious and shells, from an old jewelry business. Also a great collection of vintage African trade beads that I used to make one of a kind pieces. Do you think any of that would be appropriate for etsy? TIA
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I have sold on Etsy, I much prefer it to Ebay. But like someone else said the market is so saturated. I really like your banner, did you do it? I'm in the process of redoing my shop. Some time whet by and all my listing expired so I want to use that as an opportunity to relaunch.

I would think you could sell your items under supplies.
Have you checked out the site selling information yet ?
You just have to know the price you want for something as
the listings are fixed price.

I have not sold anything on Etsy. I am however registered on
the site and I do check it out every so often. A lot of talented people there. Maybe I should try some craft books over there sometime soon.--------My signature--------

When the holidays are over and I have time to devote to this the next project, I am going to check etsy out. I tend to take on more than I should and then housework/health/the basics go to pot. So until then, I'm just going to keep checking back here. Mahalo!!
