Got a skunk under your garage..I did.
So I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of the cute (but really smelly) little bugger for almost a year. We have a dog and the consequences just don't bear thinking about.
But I didn't really want to poison the little guy..I mean he has a right to live his little skunky life..just NOT under my garage, and near my dog.
So at christmas, my MIL got my daughter one of those cute little basket sets that has the matching scented body wash, soap, perfume, etc.
Most of it was Ok, but the perfume was VILE..like fruity bug spray or something.
There's a question..can perfume "go bad"?
But I digress...finally in utter frustration I poured the entire bottle of Eau d' UGH under the garage.
The garage was uninhabitable for a week.. the skunk thought so too and moved out!
Bwahaahaa..two stinky things out of my life..FREE!

That is soooo hilarious!!! My dog got skunked last fall, right in the face. The vet would NOT take him to de-skunk him...... We looked up treatment on the internet (beer, baking soda, peroxide, dish det. mint mouthwash , etc....) and believe it or not the concoction(sp?) worked the first time..... We had to apply the mint mouthwash on his face for a few days , but he could come back in and be a part of the family!!!!

We find the best thing to get rid of skunk smell is to wash them with Tresseme shampoo. For some reason it takes all the smell out and the $3.99 for a big bottle is worth the money!
