That is neat. I always just tip my detergent bottle upside down when it seems empty, leave it upside down on my laundry shelf and the cup is full for one more load the next time I go to do laundry.

Oh darn........it is for liquid. I use powder.
Even use the boxes for mag. holders and make them for my friends that also use liquid.

Wow that is nice. Even leaving the bottle upside down, I never seem to get it all, it gets trapped in the ring that the spout is connected into the bottle at...No matter how much shaking and tilting I do, it never comes out! This would be a perfect solution! Thanks so much!

Interesting link. It's fun to see how people make these little discoveries, and then share them for the rest of the frugal world to use.
Back when I used liquid detergent I did like Sara Noel, turned the bottle upside down to get out the last bit. I now purchase Charlie's Soap (http://www.charliesoap.com/) in a 5-gallon bucket, which is enough to last us 3-1/2 to 4 years. Really saves a lot on packaging destined for recycling.

I just add water and shake it up. I stopped using liquid though because I think powder is more economical.

Ditto---I always add water--I don't measure, but probably about a cup, shake it up so it gets all of the soap off the sides of the container, and then just pour it into the washer.
Same as I do with the last of the shampoo, conditioner (which is all I use now), and dish soap. Add water and shake.______

I just add some water at the end also. Shake it up. Let it set for awhile, and then empty. Then leave the cap on and let it finish draining.
You could also punch a hole in the bottom of the bottle. Let it drain out that way.--------My signature--------
