I just bought some black currant jelly there and was pleasantly surprised to find it very good! I got into black currant jelly or jam in England.

One that I would like to add. Nail polish remover. I bought some at the dollar store this week and it must have been colored water. Didn't do a thing to remove my polish. I never thought about it since it smelled like all other polish remover. Buyers beware!

I buy 99% of all gift wrapping, bows etc there and am very pleased. Gift cards, boxes. Some cleaning, lots of snack/candy especially at a holiday time. Never had a problem with any of it.
One thing is decent is their off brand ziploc type bags. I use them for shake and bake coatings for zuchinni, squash, chicken, pork etc. As cheap as they are I don't feel like I'm throwing money away like I do with ziplock or glad. But they are perfect for shake & bake items. Would I use them for freezer, no.
Another one for cleaning anything is Awesome. Hubby swears by it. Even for laundry and work clothes. Pour some in.
I buy alot of stuff there. But I normally go when I have time to spend and can look thru, go over stuff and compare.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Just like with any store, I suppose you have to be cautious about the cosmetics you buy in terms of how long they've been on the shelf. I have purchased nail polish that was previously sold as stocking stuffers and it was fine, but have noticed some of the lipsticks etc. are really old from discontinued lines.
Cosmetics typically have a shelf life of 18 months (anything with sunscreen) to 3 years.

Absolutely correct- do a little research, you'll find those $1 tests work just as well as the $10 ones..though they come with less bells and whistles! Cheap enough to buy a few to keep on hand, for those of us who need a stick to pee on any time we're a little 'off' just to be sure! Also nice for those trying to become pregnant who like to test frequently- cheap enough to 'waste' some even on the days you kind of know it's probably too soon to test (for those, like me, who when trying feel a need to test daily until results show clearly one way or another).
