Default spray on leave in hair conditioner, made it myself!

I have dry salt and pepper hair, slightly curly with gray frizzies..... so the lady who cuts my hair said I should try this product...blah blah blah. Why not make it myself? It's just conditioner with a lot of water.....so I did 1 Part conditioner (which was already half conditioner half water) and 4 parts water. Shake it up, spray it on and woo hoo no more frizzies!!!! Bet this would work as a detangler too!

I have wanted to do this for my girls. The oldest has long, tangled, wavey, frizzy hair and the little one has fine, straight hair with static. I'll have to wait for an empty spray bottle to surface first. I already have plenty of conditioner to use.

I used to work with a woman who had very thick, very curly, very long hair. I asked her once how she kept it looking so nice, and she said she just took a small dab of regular conditioner and worked it through her hair and left it in after washing it. I've been doing that ever since!!

You can cut it down even more. I've used 1 tablespoon in a bottle of water (12-16 ish oz) I have super thick, curly hair.

I have been doing this too for our hair here.
I took an old hairspray bottle. What I did was use 1 tbl spoon of conditioner and added it to hot water to make sure that the conditioner mixed well.
Then when I go to use it I shake the bottle well and spray it in my hair while wet and it works great!

I am definately trying this! My hair is fine but thick in back and I can't run a comb thru it until I spray something in it (after shampooing). My ds 7 only gets a bath every other day due to eczema in the winter. When he gets up in the morning I have to spray his hair to make it lay down. Thanks for the idea.

I am going to have to try this - I use a lot of more expensive products trying to tame my hair, which is thick, curly and frizzy!

Yep...this is how I do it too.
I've used the conditioner/water mix before but I always end up spraying it all over my face & neck~
Doing it this way helps to alleviate that problem.

I use conditioner instead of mousse or gel. My daughter and I have very curly hair and using conditioner has been better then any mousse we have tried. A tiny bit of conditioner goes a very long way.

I used to do this when my hair was shoulder length or longer. Worked well. De-tangled, too. I also did the dab of condiitoner worked through, as madhen described. Makes it last forever.

Now it is about 2" all over, so I don't use any.
