    Default Vacation/Hotel Bonus!

    For our 10th Anniv., DW wanted to go to Vegas. We don't gamble, we gawk..so it worked well. Cereal in the hotel in the am, a decent lunch (cheapest good mean for low price), and 1.99 hotdog special for dinner.

    What we did find to be a wonderful bonus... I book the cheapest room I found on Orbitz on the Strip, ended up being the Mirage. At check-in I gave the desk clerk a $20 and asked if there was anything she could do to make our stay more memorable. 25th floor with strip view.

    That $20 netted us about $450 extra (we came back to the room to find complimentary champagne service and fresh fruit since I mentioned the anniversary) and the room was sweet!

    Amazing!! That is so funny that you slipped her a $20 and it worked! I've only ever seen it done in movies, I'm not very smooth, and I'm afraid I'd be too awkward hehe. But it's so neat that it $20 really did get you a more memorable vacation!
