Stocking stuffers all summer!
No doubt many of you frugal friends do this already, but lately there have been so many free samples available so I wanted to pass on this tip while there was still plenty of time to use it before the Holidays.
In the past months, I've started really concentrating on ordering free samples of HBA and other items that will be nice in my kids' stockings at Christmas whenever I see the offers. It would work for spouses, parents, etc. too. I've been keeping the coupons, but have a really good stash started of cool *FREE* goodies with more than six months to go. Just a little tip.

I fill 8 stockings each Christmas so alays start in December of the previous year to take advantage of the sales. One thing I am going to make this year is rubber band balls, so I am going to be rescuing all the rubber bands that I can find!!

A great reminder..........THANKS!
And lots of the stuff can be donated to shelters (or churches) for their stockings that they make, if you get too much!

Great idea! The cost of stocking stuffer's really add up. I did it last year too, finding freebies or low cost items (with the help of coupons) esp. for my two daughters. I was able to get free razors, shampoos, shaving creams, perfumes etc..

some office supply stores sell rubber band balls - put a marble or crunched up aluminum foil - then start layering rubber bands until it's the size that you want - the ones I've seen in the store have thicker and more colorful rubber bands on the outside - don't know what bands they use inside.
