    Default Crisis Advice

So...we are staying at the family place and have a big problem. Someone placed something hot on the copper counter top and made it look like the picture attached. Any advice on how this can be fixed? Cost really isn't an issue at this point...

    never-dull

lot of vinegar and heavy sprinkle of salt (sets up a redox reaction)

edited to add: copper is suposed to have a patina. i wouldn't even stress my nerves over this.
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I was going to suggest the same thing. The vinegar/salt will make it sparkle like new but you'll need to do the whole thing as it will take the patina off in just that area.

I've never used vinegar, but I usually cut a lemon in half and sprinkle the cut part with salt and scrub gently in small circles. I'll have to try the vinegar.
