    Default Frugal hair cleanser...

    Copied from realsimple.com

    "Baking Soda as Hair Cleanser

If daily use of mousse or gel is weighing down your locks, add a pinch or two of baking soda to your shampoo once a week to remove product buildup. Getting squeaky-clean strands is a piece of cake."

I loved baking soda before I darkened my hair. It really brought the blond highlights out. I mixed it with a dab off shampoo though. Now that I darkened I can't use it as it will strip the color out faster
