Default How To Make Your Own Red Wine Vinegar

At the request of momto2boys2005 , here's my easy instructions for making red wine vinegar at home:

    Take apple cider vinegar
Add red wine, my personal ratios are 1 to 1, your choice.
    Voilà

It doesn't have to sit, ferment or anything like that, I use it immediately. I put some in a separate bottle, add extra virgin olive oil (1 to 1 ratio again) and spices and keep it on my counter.

I buy any dry red wine on sale. It's better than any store bought red wine vinegar and you can't beat the price.

We don't have little ones, so I don't know how the wine would affect them.

This is an old post............don't know how I missed it before!

Thanks...........I love flavored vinegars and use them A LOT.
I haven't made this one but will try it for sure.

If you know someone that also uses them, and save the small, separate serving, wine bottles, they make great Xmas gifts too.

Thanks soooooooo much for this!!! I was hoping to find something like this as you can't buy red wine vinegar in the large gallon size like you can regular and apple cider vinegar. Thanks so much again.
