I'm in the market for a new mop, too, so I sincerely appreciate all the advice and suggestions offered in this thread. My house is 2000-square foot of 100% tile, so I'm pretty hard on mops. I really like the suggestion of the one with the pop-off washable head. Definitely going looking for that one. I have the steam mop and kinda don't like it. Our water is hard and the steam ports clog frequently (even with the use of vinegar water). I'd rather just mop with old-fashioned mop and bucket. Thanks again!

Depending on the floor, I am just not thrilled with the steam mops I've used. It doesn't seem to get into the cracks and crevices that some of the textured tile and vinyl floors are.

Two of my clients have different steam mops and though they take the surface dirt the deep grooved patterns just don't come clean. I really wish they did work as I like the use of steam and not chemicals to do the work for me.

Mostly tile here and I love the Rubbermaid Reveal mop. Its light weight, can use whatever cleaner you want, you can wash the pad and it has a longer handle than most. To me being tall, this was important in a mop. Also it can be stored with the washing solution making a quick clean up a snap.

I use my swiffer wetjet alot, but I still take a rag and pail of water,on my hands and knees, and give floors a good scrubbing every so often.
I have yet to find a cleaning tool that cleans right to the edge and into corners well.
