I had to share that on Facebook. That is just the most awesome thing I've seen. I'd never think to score it and boil it. You're just going to boil the potato anyways when you make either potato salad or mashed potatoes.

There's also a lot less hands on time even if it does take longer. If you have other cooking to do it might come in handing. (Although I agree the title is kind of misleading. That took 15 minutes)

My thoughts too. Sure wouldn't want to do this mid summer, but in the fall, it might be okay. Also, as said above, I'd only do this if I had a reason to boil water anyway, AND had some overwhelming reason why I couldn't use the skins.
It did occur to me though, are the skins cooked? Could you freeze them and then stuff them later?

Interesting, but I rarely peel potatoes any more - all the nutrients are in the skin! Plus I love that chewy texture...

Might be usefull if you lost your potato pealer but it really isn't only 2 seconds. Plus I hate making more dishes then needed.

Neat technique but could have done without all the "I used to be pretty and famous and I'll keep referring to my glory years every chance I can get" mixed in

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Might be a good idea if you have to peel a whole lot of potatoes, but impractical for just one or two. Neat idea anyway!

I have a hand injury from when I was a child and avoid peeling anything I can as I have some pain as well as a slipping knife to deal with so for me this was a great post.

I will stick to peeling. I have mastered it at this point. It takes me 5 minutes to wash and peel enough potatoes for my family now because I have done it so much!
