Question Celery stalk to powder conversion

Hi! I am looking for a conversion from fresh celery stalk to celery powder. I have recipe for soup that calls for 1 stalk of fresh celery. I want the flavor of celery without the 'stuff' (as my son calls it!) in the soup. I have searched all over the internet and I cannot find the conversion. I have plenty of celery powder on hand, I just do not know how much to use. I have even found a site where you can buy the powder in bulk, but they do not have conversions either. Can anybody help? Thanks!

I can't exactly answer your question, but I can tell you that I cut up, dehydrated, and then made a powder out of what was left and it filled a small seasoning jar. I would just add a teaspoon of celery powder. You can always add more later.

Sorry that's the best I can do.

I would start with less than a teaspoon, as celery powder is very strong and can give your soup a bitter taste. Try a pinch, a quarter or half teaspoon and then taste it a few minutes later.
