Glad Press N Seal Non-Food Use
When I was at my parents' for Thanksgiving I was giving my mom a hard time about her wrapping a "to-go plate" up in Glad Press N Seal (her favorite product I've noticed). I was talking about cost and the box not lasting very long. She said you would be surprised at how long it lasts.
And then she told me how else she was using it. My dad is recovering from knee replacement surgery and can't get his knee/leg wet in the bath. She said she had been wrapping it with the Glad Press N Seal and it works like a charm. I thought it was a pretty neat idea and can see how it would be easier to do than using plastic and rubber bands (which is probably what I would have tried).

I love that stuff! I used it to draw my jack'o lantern face and then stuck it to my pumpkin, and cut through it. No mistakes or markings on my pumpkin

Also...you can use it to draw designs and stick to fabric for quilting/sewing.Stinkbug

I use it in my sewing Works great when you are sewing sticky stuff like the plastic vinyl. You put it on the foot and the base and it doesn't stick any more. I have also used it as a laminator on books
for my son for when he wants to help bake.

For years I've tried to use saran wrap and equivalents, with absolutely NO luck...but the press and seal, works every time! Great stuff!Wife to DH

I use it to make homemade lunchables for my kids. I save an old lunchable container (ok, I'll admit, it's the cheapie Aldi's one, but still), fill it, then use the press and seal on it. Just cut to size and trim if need be.
The kids think it's great to be able to ask for lunchables any time they want without a lecture on cost! lol

great ideas. i will admit i have never bought any but i just may have to experiment now

i will tell my mom about the quilt idea. i don't know how she does her patterns - the woman has been doing it all her life and between her and my aunt.... a quilt appears just because they are thinking about one. well it seems that way. lol.

I've used it to make a little pouch to carry medicine. A ziploc bag is too big and foil always ends up tearing.

Check for little plastic snack bags - I found them at Walmart - very handy for small things like pills, or spices that you are sharing with someone, bringing croutons for your salad to work, or similar.
Thanks for the press n seal ideas - I thought it was awful for food products, have a box banging around with no purpose, so will try it. Love the idea about the covering for wounds in particular - wish I had seen this when I had surgery on my feet!

I like the press and seal too and have gotten some new ideas here.
It is a little pricey so I don't use it often but do have one roll.
Don't know if Saule was talking about this same thing........but in the cake decorating aisle at WM, I think it is, they have tiny zip bags.......much smaller than the snack bags. Think it is 50 or 100, depending on size purchased, for a couple bucks...........I like them and use them A LOT!
