Cleaning Tips
Once a month pour a half-gallon of white vinegar in the toilet.
Soak it overnight if possible and flush as usual. Only do this
if you DON'T use those flush and release products. The vinegar
should only mix with water.
Pour one cup baking soda down the bowl weekly to help with
clogs and odors.
Citric acid is a great cleaning agent, and there are several
things we keep around the house that have this ingredient:
-2 tsp. Tang-yes, the orange drink of the astronauts. Put
it in the toilet-swish around and let it sit awhile, then scrub.
-Coke, or another plain cola will do it too. Pour it in, and
leave for about an hour.
-Drop either a few vitamin C capsules or a couple of denture
cleaning tablets in the bowl overnight.
Here is a good one too: Sprinkle baking soda in the toilet bowl,
drizzle with vinegar and scour with the brush.
Yes, these are homespun techniques, but they are simple and
do the job for a low price and they are safe!

Have you been reading the Queen of clean?I love her!LOL Great tips. Also denture cleaning tablets work wonders, let soak over night and swish and flush.Great one if you get them free after coupons.LOL thought of something funny,my mother recently got dentures and I felt so bad by sending her denture type coupons so I just ended up throwing them in the trash for now on,cause my sister said it offended her.LOL i felt like an idiot, same reason why you don't send someone coupons for gasaid.lol

lmao!! how funny! I can't use them because my toilets have a bottom filler? Anyway they don't fill up from the top. Not sure if they are septic tank safe? That's my biggest ordeal. I have NO IDEA how to take care of one! I guess when is messes up and smells like crap I'll know I over did it right? LOL

I don't have the book I'm just a in dh's words "A Clean Freak" I hat my house to be messy or to see the bottoms of our socks stained with dirt so I clean ALL the time!! I stay away from too many chemicals because when my ds was small the doctors told me my house was too clean that I was killing all the Good Germs! so I started doing some research and found out that I could get the same over all effect without killing the good stuff. So now I only use things like Clorax & Lysol once a month unless one of us is sick. That and the more clorax you use in your clothes the quicker they tear up. it's enzymes actually rot your clothing.
