Frugal Divas~some rebating tips....
* Buy envelopes on sale or in bulk. You shouldn't pay more than 2¢ per envelope.
* Save all your cash register tapes in a shoe box.
* Order some inexpensive return address labels. There are offers for free address labels from time to time. These labels save you a lot of time in addressing envelopes.
* Follow the rules as set down by the refunding company. Most refunds are limited to one per family, some are unlimited. Some require that you personally buy all items required for the refund.
* Double check each refund before sealing the envelope, send exactly what is asked for. Be sure to seal the envelope.
* If you get an "I'm sorry...." letter refusing your refund, don't get discouraged. All refunders get them from time to time. As you get better at refunding, you'll get fewer of them.
* Please don't grab whole pads of refund forms when you see them in the stores, even if you plan to trade all of them. Take a few for trades, but leave plenty for other people.
* Read the fine print on all refund forms. Some forms you receive in trades are good only in certain parts of the country, although over 90% of refund forms are good everywhere in the USA.~*Michelle*~

Keep copies of all of your rebates. I scan mine and them save them to a folder I named Rebates. I name the file after the product or manufacturer and the date mailed. Then if I need a copy I can print it. I can also see at a glance when I mailed what.

I also would add that I keep a notebook of the day I sent the rebate off, the amount of the rebate or item I should receive, to whom I sent it (just in case there is a problem) and then I put the date it arrives.
This way I can keep up with what rebates I have done and if I ever received them.~*Michelle*~
