Question What are some of your best frugal tips to welcome Spring into your home?

This whole Spring Fling thing has gotten me to thinking about ways to welcome Spring into our homes frugally. What are some of you best frugal tips to add that Spring touch to your home after a long winter?

Here are a few of mine:
    1. I don't dry clean our curtains. I wash them one panel at a time and hang them out on the line to dry. This has worked wonderfully for us.
    2. Pick a bunch of daffodils or tulips and put them in a pretty vase.
    3. Change out your heavier blankets and things for lighter ones and opt fir lighter colors.
    4. Open those windows and let the fresh air in.
    5. I start making pasta salads and we eat them out on the back deck.
    6. Repaint your outdoor furniture. Make sure you sand and prime it first!

I really start opening the blinds and raising windows as soon as possible. I think the house needs a good airing out.

I like to use the lighter colors where ever I can. I sit out big wire baskets full of those little plastic eggs. Been using the same eggs for years.

I sit out the spring/summer candle flower arrangements. Been using those forever too.

I put up anything that looks heavy, like blankets. I like to put out a bright colored rug by the doors.

I really don't buy much to decorate with, unless I find something new on sale. I just pull the old stuff out of storage and freshen it up a bit.

washing windows. I need to get at it, due to a lot of dog height nose prints, and a visiting toddler who all left their mark. Let the sunshine in, without getting hung up on the prints.

I started my spring cleaning. I have opened the windows. It was about 80 degrees today. Pollen is coming in like crazy but I don't care I love the fresh air. I am getting ready for a garage sale in April. I am  going to get rid of everything I haven't used in the past 3 months.  I am also planning to rent a booth in an antique store here that will allow me to sell some of the silk flowers arrangements and decorative painted items that I make. I put $50.00 in my first time ever emergency fund!!! I plan to add at least 50.00 every two weeks. The "Village" has really encouraged me to implement most of the ideas I have learned about here in the "Village".

Thanks and Hugs to all of you that contribute so much good information and ideas.
