Know what to do with extra Shredded Wheat?
Here are some great idea!
1. Substitute shredded wheat for coconut in cookies.
2. Crumble it and sprinkle it on a salad for extra crunch.
3. Crush it up and use it in a whole wheat bread recipe, substitute it for some of the flour. It can also be crushed up and used in meatloaf.
4. Add it to chocolate chip cookies--gives a nice little crunch!
5. Put it in the freezer and save it for Christmas. It is great to use as a roof for gingerbread houses.
6. Great source of Iron- it has 90 percent of your daily requirements- so buy the frosted, bite size, and have a small baggie to snack on thru the day one week before giving blood.
Any other ideas out there?
