Default How are Your Pots and Pans Organized?

I've been giving a great deal of thought to this as I anticipate my kitchen being put back together (hopefully) soon. My old system was fine, but I'm always on the lookout for a system which is more space/time efficient or nicer to look at.

So...how do YOU organize YOUR pots and pans?

Mine are kept in a deep pull-out drawer underneath the cooktop

Shoved in the cabinet Actually big/seldom used pots are in one cabinet. Often used pots and pans are in another. Glass/pyrex baking dishes are in a cabinet and cookie sheets/muffin pans are in a tall skinny cabinet. All lower cabinets as food stuff is in the upper ones. Not much of a system, but it works for us.

I have most of my cooking sheets & rectangular casseroles under the stove. Most used pans are in a cupboard to the left side of my stove. The bulky stock pots, dutch ovens and electrical appliances are all in a large closet off the kitchen in our eating area.

How is the remodeling & meal planning going?

For pots, I did the old count the burners trick. I have that many, plus one extra big dutch oven type for soups. I find some days that is handy to have two. AND I have a steamer and double boiler one extra as well. I use it a lot.

I store them in a little narrow cupboard beside the stove. I have the frying pans in the drawer under the oven, in the stove unit.

I keep seldom used cake pans etc above the stove fan, it's a hard cupboard to open.

I keep my cheesecake and cake pans on the other side of the oven, in my mixing center. Also roasting pans and casseroles.

Where ever ds finds room for them, lol. I tried to have a system, but once ds took over the "putting away clean dishes" chore, I gave up worrying about things being exactly where they belong. He is proud that he got it in the right area, so I let it be there even if it isn't exactly where it belongs.

Mine are all just kinda thrown into a couple of cabinets. I tried and tried ever since the kitchen was redone to have a nice, organized system... but that went kablooey!

As long as I can find what I need, it's alright. I still go through all the cabinets and clean up every so often anyway.

I have a (half circle) pot rack hanging high on the wall across from my stove, above a sideboard in my kitchen. Surprisingly, I'm very minimilist in all areas and absolutely HATE visual clutter so I wasn't sure this was going to work for me, but I really love the look and have kept it for probably 3 years now. It keeps my pots hanging nicely and conveniently, and frees up needed cabinet space. The lids to the set, I keep in the drawer under the stove.
