Lightbulb Homespun tip of the day!

Okay all you minivan mamas! Summer is coming...take a ziploc or vinyl zipper bag, and put in some sunscreen and bug spray, and keep it in your vehicle. I have extras laying around, and the lightbulb went on as I was decluttering. How many times have I been without sunscreen for the DD's and me? This way it's handy in your car!

Good idea I do the same thing. Now if I can just find a sunscreen that won't sting my dd's eyes.

I keep a small container of the combination bug spray/sunscreen in the glove box of my van. Also have a small first aid kit, tissues, a bag of quarters, pen and paper, napkins, and some sugarless hard candies in there. Any other items anyone keeps in their car that they find come in handy? Maybe that should be another thread?

I have a "summer basket for insde the house. It's a wire mesh apple shaped basket and I keep bug spray, sunscreen, bandaids, neosporin, aloe and tweezers in it. When the season is over, it's easy to just take the entire basket and store it with the summer toys and clothes.. I had never thought of one in the van though! great idea!

I keep some sort of "baby wipes" in my car to keep those little hands and faces clean.
