removed lipstick on the wall with...
straight dawn. Then wiped with a cloth that was wet with water. Glad that worked. Need to find a new place for my lipstick.
I was surprised it worked, but not a smudge, smear, or stain left.
Now if only I had something for permanent marker.

I'll remember that too! I got lipstick off my wall with Dow bathroom cleaner and my scumbuster. I LOVE my scumbuster.

Been there and done that. Little girls just love mommy makeup. Glad the dawn worked. I can't remember what I used when dd did this - just too long ago.

Gabe bought me one and I thought I'd love it, but I ended up returning it. I often wonder if mine had a defect because so many say they love theirs. The one I had just didn't perform the way I thought it would, so I returned it.Originally posted by daddys3chicks

Great job Sara!
How about one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers? I thought they were supposed to get markers and things off walls?
I have one, but it's still in the box.

Sara, I did my good deed for the neighbourhood a few weeks ago and took a box of cleaning tricks to a Residential Road sign....
The thing that worked very well and didn't disolve the paint of the sign was ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, this removed what looked (to me) like Permenant Marker Pen-Black!
Other stuff I tried just took the paint off the sign
Anyway, maybe worth a try on a little area, to see........
(I got mine to make the "Home made Purell" that some kind person posted a recipe for, I made some, it is very good
.......just can't find the dang recipe anymore

The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser worked for me on the permanent marker. My son wrote on the frig with one & it took it right off. Also great for getting crayon off the walls.

I was thinking the same thing after I posted about them Sara. Does it remove the paint too?
