Default second use - juice/soda bottles

Share with us how you reuse juice and soda bottles!

I reuse our juice bottles for storing emergency water, storing dry beans and such, and fill them with water and stick in the freezer for carrying in the cooler or to help keep the freezer cold if the electricity goes out.

I put a couple kibbles in them and let the dogs play with them. When they get chewed up or have sharp places where they have bitten through,I toss them. They usually play with them for a day or so.

If you can find the ones with the plastic bottom on them they make great terrariums. Just cut the top off and plant in the plastic bottom and put the other part on, poke a few holes for air.

I don't save too many, but use the juice bottles for water in the fridge.

I really need to get organized and motivated enough to establish some recycling bins for plastic to save to take to the recycling center.........

I forgot that I do very rarely use them for something- when I make crackers, I cut one (you have to make an even cut) a couple inches from the top and the, using the top for a handle, use it as a cracker cutter. This could also be used for cookies.
