Great ideas! I already washed a set aside one based on chewawala's suggestion. That is perfect for taking a drink on an outing for the family.

    Thanks!

I have cut them into strips and made plant label stakes. I am about to make a "wasp deterrent"; i.e., a fake hornet's nest, and the jug will be my "frame."

Collecting some to cut the tops off and punch multiple small holes in the sides and bury in a section of my sisters garden. They are suppose to work as an irrigation system where you fill up the jugs and they water the plants under ground without lots of waste just watering all the dirt. We're going to try it with a section and see.
That's a good use of the jugs. I need to start saving some for my tomatoes.

We use them to put around our pool to help hold the pool cover down.

The bags you have to buy are very expensive and they rot within a year.

I use them by refilling with water and then freezing in the summer. Then I put them inside the chicken coop and they work like mini air conditioners. No electricity needed then when they've melted I use the water to fill the waterer.

Did someone mention using them for holding clothespins, when not in use, so they're handy when hanging your clothes out on the line? Opposite the handle, cut the top quarter out, and put clothes pins in. On the handle side, cut a slit, or small section, out of the bottom part of the handle, so you can hang it over the line.
