Default mccormick spices - how old?

I found this internet site in the Sunday paper insert this morning. You can find out how old your McCormick spices are.

Oh my, I have whole cloves from 1977 . That was the year before I graduated high school. Jack must have had them & I didn't meet him til 84.

    LOL!!!

I rarely buy McCormic spices- most of mine are in the bottles that came with my spice rack, and I refill them with the $1 kind from Odd Lots, or the big bulk containers from Sam's. I do have a few "name brand" ones, though... I'll have to check those.

I had seen the ad about this in "Woman's Day" magazine. I threw away six jars of spices today. According to the ad they were at least 15 years old. Ugh... I'm sure my mom's pantry has spices older than that!

My ex SIL works for McCormik in this area. The only spices I have from there is a big bottle of Parsley he gave us a few years ago. LOL It's been out of date for 2 years, but I am trying to use it up....
