    Talking Frugal Tip 9/3

To help stop water waste, put a small piece of electrical tape on the bathtub to mark an appropriate water level for each child. Older children get higher levels.

I learned that from Amy Dayscyn the Tightwad Gazette. I am glad that someone else read it.

Instead of starting a new thread, I will add to yours:
~ I use baby powder. I've taken a piece of tape & covered half of the shaker. Less powder coming out, instead of it flying out!
~ Some salad dressing bottles don't have that nice little hole in the spout, so I've popped them out of empties, wash them & save them for bottles w/o the hole (I hope you understand that)

No, but after a certain amount of time, the hot water goes away. One child can take a 5 hour shower if you let him. After a certain amount of time, I walk in the bathroom and reach in the shower (while looking the other way, they are all teens) and turn off the hot water.

Splendid idea! I should do that for my nieces and make sure my mom enforces them to follow it. The little ones always waste so much water when they are playing and never want to come out of the bathtub!
