Default What do you do with your empty bread sacks?

I'm making bread crumbs from the heels of the bread and wondered.... "I wonder what I can do with these bags"? Any ideas???

    thank you

Just tonight I opened a package of cookies (the orig. pkg is not re-sealable) and put them into a bread bag. My mom used to wrap meats in wax paper, then put into bread bags and then into the freezer.

Put more bread in them. A friend of mine uses them to clean the catbox into, and another friend sticks one in his pocket when hiking with his dog to "collect" into.

I use them to put an opened sleeve of crackers in to stay fresh before putting them back in the box. Works well.

Put homemade bread in them. (I love homemade bread. The downside is that it doesn't come with its own bag. )

Double bag things going into the freezer. (I usually triple or quadruple bag bread when put it in. I just seems so fragile!)

I cut them into strips and crochet door mats with them.

Crochet floor mats? That is GREAT!!! I remember seeing my mom's neighbor make one with Walmart bags. Such GREAT ideas! Freezing, etc.... I can't wait to see more ideas.

I busted a bag of egg noodles (walmart brand) and of course those bags dont have the seal "thingamajig" on them, so I put em' in the bread bag.

    Thanks!!

I use them to store leftover muffins and rolls and use them to store various leftovers in the fridge such as meatloaf. Wherever you use a baggie or ziploc bag you can use a plastic bag. I also save and wash produce bags.

I save them and put the loaves I bake into them instead of gallon sized ziplock bags. I use them until they wear out...

I store them in empty facial tissue boxes and, when needed, I use them to store other foods in the freezer...either baked bread/muffins/etc. or meat in meal sized portions. I sometimes use them to store already prepared meals in the freezer.
