    Talking Frugal tip 9/4

    If you lose the gas cap off your car, the next time you stop at the gas station ask the attendant if they have lost gas caps for sale. Sometimes they have a box full of lost caps and may give you one for free.

    Great tip. Thanks for sharing that.

    We just purchased a new van and for the first time in any vehicle we've owned, the gas cap is chained so that you can't lose it!!! They really are costly if you have to purchase them new.

    Wish I would've known this about 3 years ago.We were driving to Kansas to see my family and i stopped to get gas at 3am.When we got to the next gas station we realized there was no gas cap and our check engine light was on.Somewhere in illinois my gas cap is wandering.lol
