suggestions?

im guessing this is a tip, im asking for decorating tips anyway...

im reduing my kitchen. its going to be sort of an old fashioned kitchen-- my potholders and towels and pictures have spice boxes and sacks of flour and fresh eggs and pitchers of milk, that sort of thing. i usually keep my dish soap in the window and had thought of putting it in one of those olive oil dispensers but thats not really old fashioned looking. what would you suggest?

A canning jar with a pump dispenser top? I know Gooseberry Patch sells them... I've wanted one forever!

really? ive never seen such a thing, but thats exactly the kind of thing i was looking for. thanks.... now to just find one.

Was just wondering how hard it would be to make one. Maybe buy a pump soap dispenser from a dollar store, take it apart, make a hole in the lid of a canning jar, glue down pump thingy, and it should work, huh. I'm gonna try it. If it works, they would make wonderful gifts.

Me again. Was just thinking....if you cound find a pump that simply screws into the dispenser (I've seen them), then all you would have to do is simply make the hole and screw the pump dispenser in without using glue.
