Default Tips for getting baked on grease off glassware

To get that icky brown/yellow baked on splatters/grease of bakeware like Corningware & the like, fill the dish with water and throw in a fabric softener sheet. If it's on the edge or the outside of the dish, wet the fabric softener sheet and lay over the area in need of cleaning.

Let it set overnight (rewetting if necessary). In the morning it will wipe away clean.

I haven't tried it on metal ones because...black pans are 'well seasoned'

I use dish washer powder...put into container that you can cover the dish you want to clean. Put 1/2 cup of dish washer powder and warm water and let stand overnight...wash next day gets inside and outside all at once...

Also to clean cooking grates from your grill or gas cook stove and even drip pans put into garbage bag with 1 cup amonia and tie shut and leave over night..I usually do this out side...then I hose them off bring them in and wash in dish water...come clean as new..

A quick question - does the fabric softener sheet have to be new? Or can it be used?

New works better as it's the softener on the sheet, not the sheet itself, that does the trick

i usually let it soak in the bottom of the dishpan or sink while i wash the other dishes then take a scrubbing pad to it. usually doesn't take much effort since it's been soaking in hot soapy water for a while.
