Default Tips to Buy on Ebay

Looking for tips/advice to buy items on Ebay. Seems there are lots of bargains on Ebay, but I don't know where to start. I can find the items I want, but how do I win the bids & get the best deals? I've heard there are certain times you get lower prices... fact or Ebay myth? Anyone want to share your Ebay knowledge?

Get a sniping program. This way you can enter the highest amount you are willing to pay without others seeing you are bidding.

I use Auction Sentry. 10 bucks for a lifetime subscription.

I simply bid my highest amount - but with an odd number -

    such as:
an item ending soon, with a bid of $5.50 - I'm willing to pay 10.00, I'll raise my high bid to 10.01, or 10.51 - sometimes that penny makes all the difference.

The advantage of the snipe program is that you don't have to be on the computer when the item is ending. The odd amount is great as well! I always use that one

Well, I'm doing a little "research" on ebay (watch a couple of items to see how the bids go, etc). I appreciate the tips & advice from everyone. Can't wait to win my first bid!

You can use esnipe. You can try if free for a while and then it doesn't cost much to maintain.
