    i've had an allergic reation to SOMETHING. with my list of allergies i'll prob. never know, but anyway i am broke out in whelps just about everywhere. even under my hairline on the back of my head, the itching is driving me crazy! i took 2 benadryl and all that did was put me to sleep. IM STILL ITCHING!! anything i can do to relive the itching (under my hair especially, and on my eyelids) till i can talk to my allergist tomorrow?? my mom recomeneded an oatmeal bath, but will that work in my hair??

    it should help. i mean your scalp is just skin on your head.
    i'd rinse really well. use a mild shampoo for your hair but avoid you scalp if you can since that would get rid of the oatmeal.

    Oatmeal bath and Aveeno's anit-itch cream. It will be messy on your scalp, but I would give it a try.

    I would keep taking the Benadryl but only take one so you are not as drowsy. They can really wipe you out but you want to keep taking until it gets a little better. Try the oatmeal and aveeno anti-itch cream topically to give you some relief until you can talk to Dr. tomorrow. Good luck. Hope you can get some rest tonight.

    You know what I find helps my dry and itchy skin? The cream that comes with yeast infection treatments! Maybe go see if you can pick up a tube of that and rub it in. It just might work!
