One of the kids' weekly chores is to dust the blinds. They just use a swiffer duster. Then, one of their monthly chores is to clean them with a vinegar and water mixture. Once every six months we take them down and scrub them really good in the tub or out on the back porch with either Pinesol or Comet or Clorox.

I have permanently installed wooden shutters (vintage). I can only clean them with my vacuum cleaner attachment (first) and wood polish (second).
Drip pans, I spray them with oven cleaner and let them sit in the sink for 15-20 minutes. They wipe clean every time.

For stove drip pans I place them on news paper on the counter and spray Dawn power dissolver on them & let them soak for awhile then wash them clean.

For blinds I use a Quickie duster or feather duster. I tilt the blinds up and dust the side facing me and the side facing the window. I tilt the blinds down and repeat the dusting of both sides. This usually removes most of the dust and saves me from hand wiping each slat more than once a year.

I don't have drip pans.
As for my blinds, I use a blind duster that I picked up at Walmart. It has fingers that go between each piece and dust it off. So far it has worked great.

I use an electrostatic duster on mine every time I dust, front back and then flip the cord and do them again, on the blinds. For my drip pans I soak them in hot soapy water and use a scrubby thing on them and run em through the dishwasher.

I endust with a duster weekly and soak my mini blinds in the tub twice a year.
I no longer have drip pans but I used to sos and run them through my dishwasher as I used them, just like I would my pots and pans.
