Default Pizza sauce getting mold after 1 day!

Does anyone know why my pizza sauce always gets mold growing in it with a day or two of first opening it?

I always put the lid back on tight, should I also put it in the refrigerator?

Check the temp of your frig. It may not be cold enough. If not, put it into a container and put into the freezer. If the seal on your frig is bad, it won't get cold enough to prevent mold, and that's not good. That is a warning sign that other things are going bad as well.

Spaghetti sauce jar lids have an airtight seal. Once you open it, sealing it again won't work. Refrigeration will save it for a while longer.

Sorry, I meant pizza sauce. Goes for spaghetti sauce and other things as well, though.

As a general rule, any canned good that has been opened - leftover portions should be put into an airtight container and then into the fridge. Depending on what kinda canned good it is - it may be kept for up to 1-1.5 wks.

Personally I wouldnt go longer then a wk - max. Its not worth the risk of getting sick.
