alternative uses for muffin pans?
Looking for tips on how to use a muffin pan in a way other than to make muffins. As an example, I've read some people use them as molds for melted down leftover crayons.

I use them to sort beads, keep my "junk" drawer somewhat organized.
I make mini quiche, meatloaves, and I used them to make larger portions of baby food, once the kids got past the ice cube sized stage.

I've seen them used to put toppings in for a build your own ice cream party. They could be used to put toppings in for kids decorating Christmas cookies (Easter, Valentines Day, etc). Our local PBS station has a show that suggests putting bite size healthy foods in the cups and placing it out to encourage "grazing" in toddlers. I guess it's fine as long as they are foods that will keep for several hours without spoiling.
I've used them for mini cheescakes with the no bake mixes.

I took them on vacation with my. We rented a cabin and I used them to make ice for the cooler for our day trips. The non stick ones work the best as the ice pops right out. Saved us a couple of bucks a day. Plus the cubes are bigger than the bags and do not melt as fast.
