Computer performance tip
I get a newsletter every month from a guy who tries out all these free programs and lists them and his evaluation of which is best. A few months back, he listed something called RegScrubXP, and I downloaded it, but was afraid to use it. Your registry is a very important part of your computer, and I was afraid I'd mess it up.
Well, I read up on how to backup your registry, just in case, and I bit the bullet today, because my 'puter was running so slow, and just ran it and let it fix everything it found.
You will not believe how much better my computer is running! It alway has some tweaks in the program to make your computer do certain things faster, like load programs and shut down.
I have a backup of my registry, so just in case I get to something and it doesn't work, I can restore it.
This is a link to the latest newsletter. Somewhere near the bottom is a link to the 46 best freeware programs, and then another link for 54 more, totalling 100.
