    Default coupon tips?

Looking for tips on coupons. Example: If you don't already have a coupon for an item, checking manufacturer's site to see if they are offering a coupon for it.

Good idea going to the manufacturer website. Oftentimes they have free product samples too.

    More Coupon Tips:

    1. If you don't REALLY need or want an item, don't buy it-- even if you have a coupon.

    2. Trade coupons with your friends and family. Let them know what products you use so they can save coupons for you. And you can save coupons for them as well. This way, you get MORE coupons for stuff you'll actually use. Even when it says limit 1 per customer, keep the extra coupons anyway-- most people do visit the store more than once per week.

    3. Don't forget to check the front of your phone book for coupons each year. My phone book has some great ones.

    4. Going out to eat, but your coupon is expired? Try handing it off to the waitress anyway. If she catches you, play dumb. If she doesn't, you'll save a bundle. About 50% of the time, restaurants will accept expired coupons. (Grocery stores almost never let you get away with this though.)

I use coupons most of the time. but i really use them at the store that doubles $1.00 off, and i use it on items that i would use, and if there are some that i can get for free but would not really use i give those to the food bank or when there is a food drive. I love these coupons on products that i like but are not in the budget like kids juice that they love but is to expensive normal and i can get it for free or almost free. or cheaper then the cheap version. I also use this on convience food, I have health problems and there are days cooking is just to much for me so I love have these meals on hand for those days, I watch sales and the stores we have one store here that doubles up to $1.00 so i see if doubling the coupon is cheaper then using the coupon at face value at walmart, sometimes it is cheaper to use the coupon at walmart with out the doubling. and some times the store brand is cheaper then the name brand with a coupon- I love going to the bigger town where the store doubles $1.00 off coupons but i only get there every three months so before i go I check their sales ad at "www.sundaysaver.com" and then go through all my coupons and get my 75 cent off and up coupons and then i go through the store and see what i can get for free or close to free, i have saved 68% off my total bill, the last time i went i saved 58% I bought some marked down meat, and a few other sale items that were cheaper then i can get them in my town that i live in. my pantry is now full, Using coupons can save you a bunch of money but they can also be a trap, You still have to ask your self is the product cheaper then the store brand and is this a product that i will use or am i buying it just because i have a coupon for it. good luck with couponing it is sometimes a lot of work but it is worth it.

At first, I used to think it was WONDERFUL that my local supermarket would double the dollar off coupons... but as soon as they began implementing the program, all of the coupons in my local paper were for 99 cents off.... and my store won't double 99 cents off... only dollar off....

Suspicious how there are no more dollar coupons around any more.
