Need Uses for some random items...
I have some random items that I cleaned out yesterday and I'm trying to find other things to use them for. Whether it be craft projects or just 'round the house uses. Anyone able to help me with this?
I have:
- Tons of empty hotel shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles.
- Broken dishes (we had replacements sent to us)
- Pop up wipes containers (not hard ones, the paper ones with a plastic spot to pull them out)
Any ideas??

If you're into making your own homemade bodywashes, shampoos etc you can make them and store them in there or just refill those hotel bottles for when you travel - you'll know what kind of shampoo is in there and you wont need to go buy travel size. Store any leftover shampoo's?
Broken dishes - make your own picture frame, table top out of the broken pieces like mosaic style?
Pop up wipes containers? Not too sure what the not hard ones look like but how about stuffing shopping bags into there so when you need them you'll have a container full of em. When full toss one into the trunk of your car in case you ever need one. But you'd have to pop off the lid Im assuming.
Thats just off the top of my head.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

for the pop up containers, reuse them again if u can and make hm wipes.half roll or less(depends on size of container) and soak the roll of paper towel in this solution still on the roll (take paper tube out)
solution: 2 caps of vinegar or bleach, 1/4 cup dish detergent and rest is water. this will disinfect and clean any areas u need.

Hmm...if you could decoupage something nice over the name of the hotel, and figure out what you could refill the lotion bottles with (can one make their own lotions? another thread I guess), you could hot glue gun some looped gold string to the cap and then hang a bunch on a mini xmas tree and give it as a gift. I read about this idea last year, only the person with the idea hung those nip bottles from the liquor store on the tree. I suppose you could hang anything - mini maple syrups, exotic teas, mini coffee samples, - but I digress

If you have too many to use, remember that a lot of stuff is recyclable.
We have curbside pickup of recyclables every 2 weeks. It's wonderful.

I would recycle to plastic bottles and use the broken dishes in the bottom of flowerpots. Not sure about the wipes container.

Thanks so much for the tips everyone. I ended up deciding on:
Hotel Bottles : I already used the contents to fill up my regular shampoo, conditioner, lotion bottles. So I liked the idea of decoupaging/hanging on a tree. I think I'm going to use some scrapbooking ribbon I have to go over the edges or do some decoupage since I have some mod-podge around. Then maybe poke holes in the top and use as Xmas decorations.
Broken Dishes : I like the mosaic idea though I'm not sure how I actually do that. I was thinking I could do something cute for my kitchen since they are broken dishes of the same pattern of dishes we have.
Wipes Pop-Up Container : Already stuffed some plastic bags in there and it works perfectly for that.
THANKS EVERYONE!
